Monmouth Conservation Foundation purchased these three acres of wooded land on Holmdel-Keyport Road containing a house and garage in 1993. The Foundation acquired the property with a donation from relatives of the Spellman Estate and County funds.

MCF also applied for and was awarded a 50-50 Matching Funds Grant from Green Acres. Transfer of the property to the County Park System as an addition to Holmdel Park took place in 1996.
