Roberts Swamp Brook

Manasquan and Brielle

MCF received a donation of three acres of land located on Robert’s Swamp Brook in Manasquan from the Frazee brothers in December 1995. The Foundation became interested in purchasing the other three properties adjacent to the Frazee piece. During 1997, MCF filed for and was awarded a matching project grant from Green Acres to proceed with the project. Appraisals were completed and offers made to the three landowners. Two refused the offer and one agreed to sell.

The Nystrom property was comprised of two lots, one located in Manasquan and one in Brielle. MCF purchased both properties on September 30, 1998. The properties were transferred to Manasquan and Brielle with restrictive covenants attached.
