On January 5, 2006, the Monmouth Conservation Foundation and the Monmouth County Park System successfully completed the acquisition of the Timolat Farm. The purchase price was 12 million dollars. The Foundation’s cost share toward the purchase was one million dollars: $500,000 of our capital campaign funds and $500,000 of our Green Acre matching funds. The Monmouth County Park System, who own and manage the property, provided the remaining 11 million dollars.
This scenic 99-acre property, adjacent to Huber Woods, contains beautiful meadows, woods and five ponds. It is the newest addition to our County Park System with trails dedicated to hiking, horseback riding and bird watching.
